Discover Europe – Europe in elementary school
The worksheets, which serve as copy templates, include exercises on geography, flags, languages, symbols, food, animal sounds, children’s everyday life, crossword puzzles, profiles, geography, money, travel without borders, professions, and EU institutions. At the end, the children can take part in a European Olympics. For political learning about the European Union, however, only worksheets 16-20 are suitable.
Europoly
In an age-appropriate way, elementary school students use Europoly to learn about Europe’s cultural, geographic and linguistic diversity in three games during an event lasting about two and a half hours. Note: the handout still refers to 28 member states.
