Olaf Ansorge

Olaf Ansorge is head of the department of civic education at the teacher training college for vocational schools in Göttingen and has been a qualified business teacher (Diplom-Handelslehrer) specializing in civic education since 1996. From 2001 to 2003, he was department head of teacher training at the Lower Saxony State Institute for School Quality Development in Hildesheim. He is a member of the district staff council at the Regional State Institute for Schools and Education in Braunschweig and a lecturer at the University of Kassel in Department 5 Social Sciences.

Mattes Campen

Mattes Campen is a Master of Education student at the University of Göttingen, studying Politics, Economics and Spanish. In his studies and accompanying activities, he focuses on media and democracy education and has been leading workshops and seminars in these areas for two years, primarily for teenagers and young adults.

Daniela Rzejak

Daniela Rzejak works as a research assistant in the Empirical Research on Schools and Teaching section at the University of Kassel. She studied to become a primary and secondary school teacher at the Freiburg University of Education and completed a Master’s degree in Empirical Educational Research at the University of Kassel. Her work focuses on teacher professionalization in the third phase of teacher education and the cooperative school and classroom development of teachers.

 

Helmar Schöne

Dr. Helmar Schöne is Professor of Political Science and Civic Education at the University of Education Schwäbisch Gmünd. He has dealt with the European Union and teaching about the EU in various publications. One of his current courses is entitled “Teaching about Europe and the European Union at school.” As part of the Jean Monnet Program, he has carried out several projects on education about the EU in schools, one of which was awarded the title “Success Story” by the European Commission.

Elisabeth Stiksrud

Elisabeth Stiksrud has been working at an elementary school in Berlin, which is also a European school, since 2018. She studied Latin and PE and is the mother of three children. As a teacher, she is enthusiastic about working with children on projects in a variety of subject areas, including European citizenship education.
